I would like to wish all our members a belated Happy New Year.

 I have been waiting for good news in respect of the virus, before writing this, but there doesn’t seem to be that much with the exception of the vaccine!  Who would have thought we would be in lockdown now after the events of last year.

We are really hoping to be able to play all the competitions this year. We have some really good courses. Starting with our championship on  May 20th at Stoke Rochford , followed by the AMAM on 30th June at Droitwich. Then the 4bbb at Copt Heath on 19th July and the 3 Ball Alliance at Bedfordshire & County on 13th September. The team champs this year are at Handsworth on 11th to 13th October.

The Jamboree is due to take place in Scotland in the first week of August.

I hope everyone is pleased with the move forward to pay our subs by Bacs. We intend to roll this out for the competitions as well. We are delaying the entries for the comps apart from the championship until 1st of April, in case the lockdown goes further than any of us anticipate at this time.

The good news is that they say everyone over 50 should receive the vaccine by the end of April!

Let’s hope the courses will be open in the not too distant future and we manage to all have a good season.
